Sneaky thieves, cunning assassins, and dashing swashbucklers. Rogues are masters of stealth, deception, and trickery. They are the ones who can get in and out of places unseen, who can talk their way out of any situation, and who can strike unseen and vanish without a trace.

Weapons. Tiny, Small, and Medium weapons.

Armor. Light and Medium Armor, Shields.

Stat Boost. +1 to your BODY stat.

Sneak Attack. If you hit a creature with a melee or ranged weapon attack and it was unaware of your presence, the attack counts as a critical hit. This effect also applies if you have advantage on the attack roll. You must use a small or larger weapon to use this ability.

Roguish Talents. You gain advantage on stat checks when performing delicate tasks, climbing, listening or eavesdropping, moving silently or hiding, or finding secret things.

Roguish Expertise. You start with two aspects at first level instead of one.

Rogue Aspects

Rogues can choose from the following aspects. You start with two aspects and gain more as you level up. See the level advancement page for more information. Aspects with an asterisk (*) can be chosen multiple times.

Armor Expertise*

-1 to EV penalty when wearing armor.

Assassinate

Once per full rest, when you hit a creature with a sneak attack and it has not taken any damage yet, your attack does 3 times the damage.

Close Combatant

+1 to attack rolls with melee weapons.

Crack Shot

+1 to attack rolls with ranged weapons.

Evasive*

You gain +1 to your EV.

Fight Dirty

You poke the target in the eyes, bite them, yank their hair or give them a good crotch punch. Make an attack roll. A hit deals 1 damage and the next attack against the target has advantage.

Hasty Retreat

During combat, if you successfully hit a target with a melee attack, you can move up to your speed as bonus movement.

Panache

You gain a +2 bonus to all stunts involving impressive displays of acrobatics, skill, or daring.

Parry*

Once per full rest, when a creature makes a melee attack against you and hits, you can reduce the amount of damage taken by half, rounded down (minimum 1).

Riposte*

Once per full rest, when a creature makes a melee attack against you and misses, you can immediately make a melee attack against the attacker.

Soul Rogue

You learn a spell from the occult spell list. The spell's level can be no higher than half your archetype bonus (rounded down). Your spellcasting stat is SOUL.
