A quick guide to character creation.
Choose a name for your character. This can be anything you want, but it should be something that you can remember and that you like.
Pick your character's ancestral heritage.
Pick a main archetype and a sub-archetype.
Your character's stats determine their ability to perform certain actions. All stats start at 10 and are modified by your archetype and level.
Choose which languages you speak.
Define your character's traits.
Your character's god or patron (if any).
Your character's hit points (HP) determine how many hits they can take before they die. You can regain HP by magic or resting. All characters start with 3 HP.
Evasion (EV) represents how difficult it is to hit your character. This number is influenced by stats and how much armor you are wearing.
Your character's equipment is what they carry with them. This includes weapons, armor, and other items.
You start at first level. You gain levels by earning XP.
You start with 0 experience (XP). You gain XP by accomplishing heroic and deadly deeds, overcoming challenges, and gathering treasure.
